We are a unique educational aid as a social history resource with over 100 miniature shopfronts representing the local economy in Wimborne more than 70 years ago.

By Car
If you are coming by car, there is parking opposite in Kings Street Pay & Display car park .
Group Travel
All enquiries from tour groups and coach operators are most welcome. We offer a safe level drop off lay-by metres from our entrance and coach parking is available nearby.
Our Team Room is able to offer hospitality packages including tea / coffee & cake, lunches and afternoon tea.
By Bus
From Poole bus station there is a bus service approximately every 15 minutes to Wimborne Minster (Wilts & Dorset, route 3). The journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Alight at Wimborne Square, from where the the Model Town is a few minutes signposted walk.
From Bournemouth Square and Bournemouth train station there is a bus service approximately every 30 minutes to Wimborne Minster (Wilts & Dorset, route 13). The journey time is approximately one hour. Alight at Wimborne Square, from where the Model Town is a few minutes signposted walk.

We have public parking including disabled spaces in the King Street car park directly opposite the Model Town.
There is a drop off lay-by within metres of flat level wallking to our entrance, and our entrance way is gently sloping and all the facilities buildings have ramped access.
We have two wheelchairs available to visitors; wheelchairs can access all but the narrowest of lanes in the Model Town.
There is plentiful seating throughout the grounds and handrails where necessary, and the toilet facilities incude a dedicated disabled cubicle.
Accredited Assistance Dogs are welcomed if needed by a disabled visitor.
Also, if a disabled visitor requires a carer to assist with a visit, only one admission charge is payable.
